Amber My Digital Studio - Gray version

I really like the layout, but wasn't real crazy about the bright melon color, so here it is in gray. What do you think?

Since this is a digital scrapbook page, changing colors was no problem!

Amber's Prom Scrapbook layout, first page - My Digital Studio

This is the first page of a two page layout I did for my granddaughters prom photos using the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio Program. This program is so fun and easy to use, for more information on the program click here. There even is a short video you can watch.

To make this page, I started with Melon Mambo cardstock. I added the flourish from the Baroque Motif stamp set, I enlarged, changed to Pink Passion and set the opacity at 50% (to soften the swirls). Then I simply had to copy and paste five additonal flourishes on the page. (Note: change size, color and opacity before you copy, so you only have to do it once). I then brought in my focal picture and gave it a black mat. On  top of the mat I added a stamp from the Frames with a Flourish. After I resized it I copy, pasted, fliped and put the second stamp at the bottom of the picture. (One of the really cool things about My Digital Studio is the fact that you can resize the stamps, making them bigger or smaller, to fit the project you are working on. Is that not just too awesome?). I then pull in the square frame stamp, from the same stamp set. I enlarged it slightly and copied and pasted to get my second frame. To get my picture the exact size to fit in the frame, I simply added a photo box, made it fit in the frame, then all I had to do is drag and double click to put my picture in the photo box. Once that is done, you can click on the photo and move the photo box around the picture to get the part of the picture you want. I repeated the same steps for the second photo.  The last step was the title. You can use the alphabet stamps in My Digital Studio or your computer fonts. I chose to use the computer font French Script, made it bold and sized it to 144. The date on the second page is also bold and sized to 72.

That is it, quick and easy. I love that in the My Digital Studio program, I can change the paper, stamps, ribbon, or whatever ever I want, with just a click of the mouse, and I haven't wasted any supplies. How cool is that? Once your page is completed, you can print it yourself, take it to be printed, or you can have it printed throught Stampin' Up! If you use our printed the color is guaranteed. So, you can make the page Hybrid, and know that your embellishements will match perfectly every time!!!

Sense of Time Birthday card for my husband
This is the card I made my hubbie for his birthday. I love cards that are black and white, don't you? I especially love to stamp an image in versamark or craft ink and emboss it with clear embossing powder on a black card. The results are quite stunning. This card, althought not a 5 minute card, is not to labor intensive, and can be made in less than 10 minutes.

I just love the script stamp that comes with the new French Foliage stamp set (available September 1, 2010). It is stamped behind the ribbon. I wasn't sure if I could fit the 1 1/4" stripped ribbon and the clock on the card, but it worked. I also added metal clock hands (not Stampin' Up!) on the clock, just for fun. I think he will like it. It is Jonathan (my grandson) approved, so it must be OK.

Simply Adorned - Inspired by Nature and Charming

This is the flip side of the large charm (the birds and birdcage). I decided that I wanted to see how Dazzling Diamonds glitter looked in the Simply Adorned charms. I think it looks fabulous, don't you? With this large charm you can use just about all your favorite stamps. This charm has the two smaller flowers on the Inspired by Nature stamp, (my favorite stamp that is 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"!) I am having a lot of fun making these charms. I simply went into my closet to see what colors went with my clothes, then picked my stamps and now I have exclusive, one of a kind jewelry. Aviary, French Foliage and Occasional Quotes Simply Adorned

Here is another Simply Adorned. This is the largest charm measuring 1 1/2" x 2". You can see the beveled grass good in this picture. I just love this new Aviary set. It comes with lots of bird cages a birds, and even a owl. The Love comes from a hostess set "Occasional Quotes. I just used my marker to ink only the word love. I have two rhinestone jewels on the bird cage. At convention I saw a charm with the Aviary set and knew I had to make one.

Simply Adorned - Tiny Tags and French Foliage (sneak peek)

Tomorrow at my down line meeting I want my group to make inserts for the Simply Adorned Charms. Today I made these two as samples. I wanted something simple, in black and white so I used the french script stamp that is in the French Foliage stamp set (available Sept 1, 2010 in the Holiday Mini Catalog) and the floral from Tiny Tags. I also added one of our Rhinestone jewels. Did you know that you can use the small jewels and the 2 smallest of our pearls in the Simply Adorned? This insert is in the back of the 1 1/4" x 1" charm. the front is beveled, the back is not.

Just in case you are not familiar with the Simply Adorned. This is our line of jewelry. They are charms, so you can buy one, or one of each size, and make as many inserts as you want. By making different inserts, you can have a different necklace (or bracelet) for every day of the week. Isn't that just to cool???

Fang-tastic Treat Sacks, with new Waffle paper!
Look what I got today. This is a sneak peek of some of the products that will be in the new Holiday Mini Catalog. This products will be available for purchase on September 1, 2010. I just love these Mini lunch sacks (they come already scalloped), and check out the Waffle paper (it looks like leather, but I embossed mine with the new Spider Web  Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The cute little vampire and witch are from the Fang-tastic stamp set. I also used the new Raven 1/2" lace trim. My inspiration for this project came from a card in the new mini catalog. They used the purple panel with the embossed waffle paper and the Raven lace on the side. I decided to use the panel on a treat sack instead of a card.

We will do this project at stamp camp, but you have to wait until September. I know, I know, but you will survive, I promise. And, wait until you see the other Halloween and Christmas products in the mini. Keep watching my blog, I will be posting a few more sneak peeks. Until then, happy stampin'

First, Second and Third Generation Watercolor Trio
Since this stamp set is called "Watercolor Trio" I though it should be stamped not just second generation, but third generation. (Second generation is the flowers on the right of the card, stamped without re inking. Third generation, on the inside of the card, was stamped again without re inking). This card is part of my August stamp camp. I cased this card. The Watercolor Trio stamp set is in the summer mini catalog, so it will only be available until August 31st. You can order yours by contacting me or clicking on the "shop now" button.

Sentimental Journey On Board Briefcase
This is one of the August stamp camp projects. It is made using two pages from the Briefcase On Board Book. (So, you can get four projects out of one set). Shelli featured these on her blog back in June. I added four card stock inserts with a tab (to add photos, I have pictured both the front and back sides). I stamped the images on the tags on a separate piece of paper and glued down just the outer edge, so the photo can be slipped under the stamped image, with the exception of the words, which are either at the top or bottom of the photo card, so the photo can be placed above or below the stamped word. Four Crumb Cake medium envelopes are on the inside. It does not open like a book, but like an accordion. The tabs help you pull the photo cards out. The journey banner on the tag is attached with mini glue dots, so that the center bows out. I sponged Crumb Cake on the front to tone down the white swirls. The stamp set, designer paper and briefcase are all products out of the Summer Mini catalog and available only until August 31, 2010. You can order them on line, by clicking on my Shop Now button on the left.

Upsy Daisy - Direct to rubber technique

See what you can do with a rubber stamp and markers!
I colored directly on the stamp with my Stampin' Write Markers. (You want to make sure your markers are water based-not permanent) First I colored the entire flower using Pretty in Pink, then just on the tips of the flowers I used Melon Mambo. The stems are Olive Green. The sentiment was also stamped in Olive Green. This was a case of a card on Stampin' Connection. I changed the colors, casing only the layout.

I wanted to post this card even though it is not part of the August stamp camp. I still need to make the final project for camp. I will hopefully get it made and posted tomorrow or Saturday.

Elegant Eggplant Awash with Flowers
This is another stamp camp project. for August. This is one of those cards that just sorta happened. I always say there are not mistakes, only plan B's. This is one of those plan B cards. I think it turned out just as nice as my original plan. I was going to have all the stems come together and put a bow around them, but my inky finger made a big eggplant mark on the bottom portion of my card, I had to figure out some way to hide it. (I wanted an eggplant ribbon and didn't have any, so I dyed some, but was to impatient to wait for it to dry and got my fingers inky). Anyway, as you can see, my plan B is a panel of Eggplant with a scalloped edge on the top. Guess what? Now I don't need eggplant ribbon, I need white. Oh well, I have pretty Eggplant ribbon to use on another day. Maybe I will try to make the original version, now that my ribbon has been dried for days.

Basket and Blooms, Beautiful butterfly purse and mini cards

This is one of the projects I did at a Late Night Stampers event before convention. On the inside of the card, we used a stamp from the Charming stamp set, I opted to use a stamp from the Elements of Style stamp set, since it is also used. I have loaned out my Sanded Background stamp, and Beautiful Wings embosslit, so if I don't get those back in time, that will also be changed. It also ties shut at the handle with our new Chantilly 1/2" Crochet Trim, I just forgot to put in one in the picture. The instructors for this project were Kate Cecil, Fran Kennedy, Virigina Killmore and Marilyn Schlueter. Thanks ladies for the wonderful project.
