Changing Leaves with white embossing powder

Since fall starts this month I decided to make cards with the beautiful Changing Leaves stamp set, dies and Hybrid 3d embossing folder. I love to make leaves in the changing fall colors. The stamp, dies, embossing folder and sentiment are all from the Changing Leaves bundle.

I left the inside blank so this card can be used for many different occasions.

Supplies:

Stamps: Changing Leaves

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry and VersaMark

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and white card stock

Accessories: Stamp Cut and Emboss machine, Specialty plate, Changing Leaves die and Hybrid embossing folder, Blending brushes, Take your pick tool, Take your pick die brush tip, Stampin’ Dimensionals, White embossing powder, Heat Tool, Tombo glue, Paper trimmer

Cutting instructions:

Pumpkin Pie card base: 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Granny Apple Green Mat: 4” x 5 ¼”, cut two

White mat: 3 ¾” x 5”, cut two

White (stamped panel): 2” x 5”

White scraps for sentiment and die cut leaves

Assembly instructions:

1. Random stamp leaf from Changing Leaves stamp set using VersaMark ink on 2” panel. Add White embossing powder and heat using the heat tool.  Let cool. Use Blending brushes to add Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie to panel directly over embossed leaves, covering entire panel.

2. Add same inks to a scrap of white cardstock and die cut two sets of leaves from the die set.

3. Emboss one white mat with the Changing Leaves Hybrid embossing folder using the Specialty plate. (see bottom plate for correct sandwich)

4. Stamp sentiment from stamp set using Granny Apple green ink and die cut with die from the die set.

5. Glue (I use Tombo liquid glue) green mat to pumpkin card front. Glue embossed mat on top of the green. Add stamped panel leaving approximately ¼” of white showing on the left side, before completely dry glue leaves tucking them slightly under the stamped panel.

6. Add stamp sentiment using Stampin’ dimensionals

7. Glue green mat on inside of card. Add white mat and second set of leaves down in the bottom right hand corner.

8. Stamp leaf on envelop using your choice of green or pumpkin ink in the bottom left corner or on the back side.
