Still Night Halloween card.

This is one of my favorite stamps in the Holiday catalog. It was designed to be a Christmas stamp, but doesn't it make an awesome Halloween card? In fact you can remove the bats, and change the sentiment to whatever fits your needs.

To make this card I first used the Layering Circle Framelits and cut a circle out of a card front to make a template. I then used temporary adhesive to place on my white card front and sponged Mango Melody ink with a Stampin' sponge to make my moon.

Remove the template and make sure to removed any adhesive that may have been left on your card. Now with temporary adhesive adhere the circle cut out of the template on your moon and sponge Blueberry Bushel on your entire card front making sure to leave some parts darker and some lighter. Dip a paint brush in some water and tap it over your card to make the specks shown. (I left the moon template on when I did this, but you can choose to have the specks in your moon also).

Die cut your branch with Soft Suede card stock and sponge. Stamp your owl with Black Memento on a Scrap of Thick white card stock. Color with Stampin' Blends. I stamped the bats with a old retired stamp set with Black Memento ink. Stampin' Dimensionals where used to pop up the owl.

The sentiment came from the Cauldron Bubble stamp set and was stamped onto a scrap of Balmy Blue cardstock and sponged with Blueberry Bushel then die cut with the die from the Night Owl thinlits set. I then cut two more out of Basic black and cut one in half horizontally and one vertically and glued to the back of the Balmy Blue piece.

I added three rhinestone basic jewels for stars to finish off my card.

Rooted in Nature- leaves

When the new catalog came out this year it was so easy for me to choose my favorite. Hands down it is Rooted in Nature. The detail in these leaves is amazing. Also, look at the embossed leaves. The coordinating die set not only cuts out the small leaf, but has an embossing die that cuts out with the small leaf die. How easy can that be! I started thinking about doing this with fall leaves, but decided to go clean and simple. Besides I love the Pear Pizzazz color. When I want my sentiment to really stand out I use a darker color that coordinates well with the color I am using. In this case it is Old Olive. What I also love is that our Stampin' Blends come in a dark and light shade of each color offered. Since we do not have a Pear Pizzazz but the light Old Olive looks awesome. This is a fast easy card, but with the embossed leaves and matching Rhinestones still has a great WOW factor. Three leaves on the inside and you are ready for your handwritten note. Trick or Tweet Elephant

Love the stamp set Trick or Tweet. You can view it here https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/product/147722/trick-or-tweet-clear-mount-stamp-set. It has an adorable cat, bird, dog and this darling elephant. Do you love the background? It is the smaller background stamp from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. Both sets are from the 2018 Holiday catalog. I love the die cut Edgelit, that looks amazing on this card even though it was not designed for Halloween. Wouldn't this card be great for someone with a October Birthday? If you want it for a Halloween card there is also a sentiment that says "Batty for you" that would be perfect with this little guy. The pumpkin treat basket is a separate stamp so you can decide to add it or not. I colored in the elephant and treat basket with Stampin' Blends. The background stamp is stamped off to give a softer color. I also colored the rhinestones with the Dark Pumpkin pie Stampin' Blend.
