Your Amazing and Bring on the Cake birthday card

So I succumbed to the Chevron craze. I know I said I didn't care for it, I should know better to say that, because I really like it on this card. So I guess what I should say is I like the Chevron design used in small portions. I even like the embossed Chevron on the inside of the card (not shown). My inspiration for this card came from this card here. Thank you Amy for the great card. I basically used her sketch, but changed up the colors, type of ribbon and put the sentiment on the left side of the balloon.

This card has the new Candy Dots used alone. The Your a Winner card uses them with the matching brads. So cool that you can use them either way. I love coloring a stamp with more than one color and our Stampin' Write markers are amazing, (pun intended). Look at the bold colors of the Happy Birthday.

Not that I am posting this and looking at the inside, I decided to also color the inside of the card. I can re-post that later.

This is the third card offered for stamp camp this month. Camp is Monday, July 29th at 10:30 am.
Reservations are required and seating in limited, so make you reservation today.

New Thinlits Card Dies!!!

Available August 1, 2013

These new card dies come with extra die pieces that have versatile designs, so you can use them on other projects, not just flip cards. (The Circle Card Thinlits Die comes with 10 total pieces; the Label Card Thinlits Die comes with nine total pieces.)

The main shape in the cards (circle and label) can work with a lot of our stamp images so you can create tons of different kinds of cards using many different
stamp sets. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:

Label Card Thinlits Die (item 133479):
  • Happy Day Stamp Set (item 130294 W item 130297 C)
Circle Card Thinlits Die (item 133480):
  • Worth the Wait Stamp (item 131094 W)
  • Five-Way Flower Stamp (item 131088 W)
Both card dies pair well with:
  • Oh, Hello Stamp Set (item 131931 W item 130733 C)
  • Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set (item 131341 W item 131344 C)
  • Really Good Greetings Stamp Set (item 130330 W item 130333 C)
  • Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set (item 130324 W item 130327 C)
  • These dies also work well with our new magnetic platform (item 130658) so you can place the dies exactly where you want them!

Winning ticket birthday card

I love this card. My stamp camp group asked for birthday cards, so this is one of the three we will be doing this month. I really love the sentiment on the inside done with the Early Espresso and Island Indigo Stampin' Write markers. I cased this card front from Stampin' Connection (A Stampin' Up! demonstrator only forum) from a demonstrator, Heidi King. Thank you Heidi for the great card. I did make the following changes. I cut out the elephant element instead of tearing, I used the natural trim ribbon. I also embossed the card front with the Stripes folder and added the Apothecarty accent die (cut shorter) and the candy dots. I also changed the card front to Early Espresso and Island Indigo.

Mosaic Birthday

Don't you just love the the fact that we have a stamp set, embossing folder and punch that coordinate together? I cased this card from a fellow demonstrator, you can view her card here. Thank you Ilina for the great card. I did change the Crisp Cantaloupe to Strawberry Slush, changed the card base and changed the sentiment.

You can make this fun card at this months stamp camp. This card features the new yummy in colors. The small flower inserts were punched with the Itty Bitty Shape punch then placed on the Stampin' pierce mat. Then with the stylus, gently push in the center, so that the petals pop up.

I will be adding the two other projects in the next few days.
