Fifth Avenue Floral Masking technique
This is a card I did for my workshop earlier this month, showcasing the masking technique. This card actually works best if you have at least 2 or 3 masks. This is a case of a card I saw on Stampin' Connection by Karen Leveille. I changed the card stock, designer paper and ink colors. I also changed the ribbon, the greeting. I masked my flowers, and left off the scallop edge.

Fifth Avenue Floral shimmers in Eggplant and  Plum
This is a fun and easy card. I stamped the lily on Shimmer paper to add a little sparkle and because it is really easy to watercolor on. The 5/8" Organza ribbon also adds a little shine. The top panel is popped with dimensionals. The designer series paper is from the Subtles collection. You get 2 sheets each of the 10 colors in the collection, but since they are double sided, you actually have 4 different patterns, how fun!
I cased this card from a card by Michelle Singer on Stampin' Connection (a Stampin' Up! demonstrator only website.) I changed the paper and card stock colors, and made my card monochromatic. I also changed the ribbon, added a knot to the ribbon and left off the brads.

Box #2, Tool Box,  Convention 2010 3D swap
When I saw the cute little tool box I knew I had to make them for a 3d swap. They are soooo cute. I had the Box #2, so I die cut them and stamped with the Woodgrain stamp both front and back. My friend Donna has the Totally Tool set, so I asked her to stamp the hammer and "he who has the most tools wins" on a 1" x 3" piece of card stock. She stamped 25 hammers, colored them and cut them out, then.... she told me the saying I wanted was on the screwdriver stamp. I told her to go ahead with the screwdriver, so that is what is on my swaps. I told her I would take the 25 hammers and glue them on the tool box, and that I thought that would be really cool. So I made my 25 tool boxes and today went to Donna's to pick up the front panels. She told me she had a surprise for me. She stamped 25 saws, 25 wrenches and 25 measuring tapes, colored all of them and cut them all out. (with the hammers that is a total of, yes you guessed it, 100 tools, Donna stamp, colored and cut out! Even though having the 4 tools sticking out of the top looks awesome, I would not recommend that step if you are making 25 of them!!! Anyway, thank you Donna, I love them, and the extra tools really made the tool box way, way, way cuter.

If you would like to see the tutorial for the tool box, it is here. She has a pattern you can buy, but I just used the Big Shot and the Bigz XL Box #2. I simply cut the lid and flaps off one, and only the flaps on the second, glue them together on the lid side, with the lid standing straight up. I then used my oval punch to punch out the handle. By stamping the whole box, even the inside of the tool box has the woodgrain. After all if it is wood on the outside, I bet it is wood on the inside!!! I also have to thank my friend Denise, that glued the 100 tools to the 25 tool boxes, and helped put the sticky strip on the tabs. Denise also made labels for all my swaps. I am very, very blessed to have both these wonderful women in my life. I am so pleased with the final product. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I will have to make this one a stamp camp project sometime. I guess I am going to have to break down and buy this stamp set!  Happy Stampin'

Fifth Avenue Floral with Prestro Pattern DSP
This card was a joint effort by my friend Denise and myself. The Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper was rubbed with Early Espresso classic ink using a Stampin' Sponge. The rose was stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I then used an aqua painter and my Blushing Bride Classic ink pad to color the rose. I squeezed the ink pad while closed to get ink on the inside lid, then used the aqua painter to pick up the ink. This was a case of this card by Kharmagirl. We changed the colors, ribbon and Designer Series Paper. We left off a few layers, the buttons, the embossing, the stem, and the paper piercing.

Tropical Party Square Lattice 2010 Convention Swap

My friend Donna made these swaps. Her only request was that the swap she made used Wild Wasabi, her favorite color. I know she did a happy dance when she heard Wasabi would now be one of our core colors! The card is a case of this card, but I had Donna make a few modifications. We made the panel with the trees smaller, put the message at the bottom of the card, without brads, changed the ribbon and left of the twine bow. I hope you enjoy it. I love it and think Donna did an amazing job.

Animal Stories Giraffe Convention 2010 swap card
I had half a dozen packets left from my Animal Crackers card, and since that stamp set retired, as well as the designer paper used on that card, I thought I would just change the one piece of dsp and stamp the giraffe from Animal Stories to replace the giraffe from Animal Crackers. Everything was cut, except the new dsp, so a few quick cuts and stamp a few giraffes, and prestro, 6 more swaps! I am so lucky to have the friends I do, because Denise stamped and put these together for me. Here is the original post with the Animal Crackers set.

Hello Again Convention Swap with Distressed texture plate
Here is another convention swap using the Hello Again Stamp set. This little flower just worked for the card sketches I wanted to do. My friend Donna made this swap for me. I swap where someone had done a card using the Distressed texture plate and the scallop circles. I cannot find the card now to give the link or credit. I did change the stamp set used and the colors, keeping only the sketch the same. It is a bright fun card.

Hello Again Convention 2010 swap
I cannot believe I have never used my Matchbox Messages stamp set until now. The little double lined frame and the vine frame are just to cute. The little flower from Hello Again fit just perfect in the frame, so I figured it was meant to be. I wanted to use some of the 1 1/4" striped ribbon, so that is how my color choices came into play. I also just had to use the Square Lattice textured impressions folder. They really make a card fast and fabulous. The card sketch I used came from this card here. I changed the colors, the flower and used the wide ribbon instead to two rows of ribbon.
