Natures Beauty and Mountain Air Z fold card

This deer from Natures Beauty has always been a favorite of mine. Look at these die cut trees from the Majestic Mountain dies, are they not amazing? I also stamped some trees using the Mountain Air stamp set. Except for not gluing my trees on straight, I think this card is pretty awesome. All products used in the card are from Stampin' Up! and available on my online store. Supplies used and instructions are listed below.

Supplies used:

Stamp: Natures Beauty, Mountain Air and Many Mates.

Way to Goat spinner card

I wanted to make a spinner card and was going through my stamps looking for an image to spin when I came across the Way to Goat stamp set. I think it looks like this goat is dancing so it was perfect for a spinner. Then I started looking for sentiments, and realized the perfect sentiment were right in the same stamp set. This card is so easy to make and with a sale on designer paper the entire month of October it really makes this card perfect. I chose not to color him in but just do some gray shadows following the artists lines. I will post below the products used and step by step instructions. All products used are available on my online store.

Supplies used:

Stamps: Way to Goat and Itty Bitty Greetings

Ink: Momento black

Stampin' Blends: Light and Dark Smokey Slate

Accessories: Stampin' Cut Emboss machine, Magnetic Cutting Plate, Layering Ovals Framelits dies, Trimmer, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Silicone Craft Sheet, Foam Adhesive strips, Tombo multi liquid glue, Bone folder, Paper snips, Linen Thread, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Simply Shammy

2. Cut two different patterns from the Forever Greenery Designer Series paper 4 1/4" x 2 3/4". Glue to front of the card lining up at the score line. Trim if necessary. Cut a second piece of the pattern at the bottom 1" x 4". Set aside.

3. Use the two largest ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits dies die cut two Garden Green frames by cutting both dies at the same time, making sure they are lined up. Take the smaller of the two used and die cut an oval from the front of the card. Make sure you open your card so you don't cut through the back. Start your oval 1/2" to 3/4" from the top.

4. Using scraps stamp one goat using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Reink and stamp a second time on the Silicone craft sheet. Immediatly place second scrap of white on top of stamped image and rub to transfer ink. Be sure to hold with one hand while rubbing with the other to prevent slipping. Using the dark Smokey Slate Stampin' Blend color the horns, use the light Smokey Slate Stampin' Blend to go over all the artists lines on the goat. Fussy cut goats.

5. Put a piece of tear tape down the middle on the back side of each goat and the top and bottom of one of your frames in the center.  Place a piece of Linen thread extending from top of frame to bottom making sure it is tight and cut off. Add a piece of Tear tape over thread to secure. Lay one goat down centering it on your string, making sure it has room to turn. Add liquid glue to goat. Place second goat lining it up with first making sure to expose the tear tape.

6. Glue frame with goat to card making sure only to put adhesive that is below the score line.

7. Cut a piece of Whisper White 4" x 1 3/4" and stamp inside greetings. Using a scrap stamp greeting for the front of card and dog ear by hand or using the Banners Pick a Punch featured in the Holiday catalog.

Playful Pets slimline cat and dog card

Two great cards and neither use any stamps or ink! Shocking I know. But I really love these cards. I tried to find the cards I cased but couldn't, if I find them later I will edit and give credit where credit is due. What is funny is that I saw these cards, made them and then looked at the cards I was inspired by and we used the same cats and dogs. Great minds think alike, right? I did use different paper for my background and I always have to add something to the inside. I did fussy cut the cats and dogs and popped them up. Also the cute words on both cards were cut from a sheet of the paper. The inside is a great place to use a dog from the designer paper that has been cut off on the edge of the paper. I think it is still adorable. For the cat card I opted for a ball of yarn from the paper I used as the background. There are stamps and dies that match this paper but I did not use them on these cards.

All items to make these cards are from Stampin' Up! and available on my online store. And the great news is this month (October 2020) the paper is 15% off. Check it out here: www.Janetloves2stamp.stampinup.net

Have a Hoot owl on Round Tin

These awesome round tins are in the current Holiday catalog. With a size of 3 3/4" x 1 1/4" there is plenty of room to treats for your favorite goblin. I cased this topper with a minor change using the Have a Hoot bundle. The layering round circle dies fit perfect on this tin. I used a sponge dauber to sponge Pumpkin Pie and Bumblebee on the white background. Stamped the Owl with Momento Black on white circle and scrap. Colored the owl on the scrap with Stampin blends, die cut and popped up with Stampin Dimensionals. I colored the moon with the dark Daffodil. The owl with the light and dark Crumb Cake, his wings with light and dark Rich Razzleberry, his feet with dark Crumb Cake and the branch with Light Soft Suede. I also sponged Daffodil around the die cuts on the white areas. I then added the Black glittered organdy ribbon on the side using Tear & Tape.
