Reindeer Fun and Decorative trees

I love, love, love this reindeer die so when I saw Klompen Stampers add the presents with him I just had to make one. In my version I added die cut trees and the Brick embossing folder.

Supplies used:

Stamps: Reindeer Fun and Decorative trees

Ink: Garden Green Stampin’ Write marker

Paper: Real Red, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and white card stock, Take a bow 6x6 designer series paper.

Die sets: Peaceful Season, Reindeer Fun and Decorative Trees

Accessories: Stamp, Cut and emboss machine, Exposed Brick 3d embossing folder, Specialty plate, Wink of Stella (glitter glue), Take your pick took and Take your pick die brush tip, Silicone mat, Tombo glue, Foam Adhesive strips or Stampin Dimensionals, Paper Trimmer and Paper snips

Cutting directions:

Real Red card base: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, scrap to cut bows

White cardstock: cut two 4” x 5 ¼” for card front and inside of card.

Garden Green and Granny Apple Green scraps to cut trees and bows

Basic Beige, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso scraps to cut reindeer

Take a bow designer series paper. Cut eight presents, one from each side of the designer paper. Seven I cut 1” x ¾” the eight 1” x 1 1/8”.

Assembly instructions:

1. Cut and score card base (5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”) using Real Red cardstock.

2. Cut card front and inside mat (4” x 5 ¼”) with White cardstock.

3. Using the Exposed brick 3D embossing folder with the Specialty plate emboss white card front. Glue to front of card.

4. Die cut trees using Garden Green and Granny Apple Green cardstock. I used Granny Apple for the top layer on all the trees except the Dotted tree where the Granny Apple is the base and Garden Green is top layer. For the small trees die cut a garden green tree for background and trim off the bottom part to the size of the tree front. I die cut four different tree fronts, three for the front and one for the inside of the card. Glue three trees to card front letting a small bit of the tree extend over the white mat.

5. Die cut eight bows, two in Granny Apple Green and three of Real Red and Garden Green. Cut and small strip of Garden Green and Real Red for the two bows that don’t have ribbon going down the package. Add Wink of Stella to all the bows.

6. Cut with paper trimmer eight presents, one from each side of the designer paper. Seven I cut 1” x ¾” the eight 1” x 1 1/8”. Add bows.

7. Die Cut Reindeer. Early Espresso for the antlers, Basic Beige for middle layer and Pecan Pie for the top. Glue together.

8. Glue one present to bottom of Reindeer. Using the Silicone mat add the additional packages. I only added glue on the corners or side of packages I was adding another package to. Allow to dry then add Stampin’ Dimensionals or I used Foam Adhesive strips to back of reindeer and packages and add to card front trimming off any of the tree that extends over the card front.

9. To get the sentiment on the inside of the card I used a Garden Green Stampin’ Write marker coloring the marker directly to the stamp being careful to only color the A very merry and not the work Christmas. Use a stamp positioner so you can color in the stamp twice and stamp in the exact spot as the first stamped image.

10. Die cut the word Christmas out of Real Red cardstock and the shadow out of Garden Green. Glue together and add to inside mat under the A Very Merry. Add remaining die cut tree to the bottom right corner and adhere to inside of card, once again trimming off any part of the tree that extends over the Red card base.

Your card is now complete and ready to send or give to a special someone in your life.
