Card using the Season of Green and Gold designer series paper

If you want a card with a wow factor and a minimum of stamping then this is the card for you. The designer paper is not only on the two front panels, the green with gold accent leaves are die cut from the paper pack. Add some die cuts in Garden Green, Mossy Meadow an Gold to really jazz up the card. The only stamping on the front is the word Merry. Add a stamped sentiment and die cut image from designer paper to inside to finish up your card. I don't know what this fun fold card is called, It is a Z fold with a side flap.

Reindeer Fun Christmas Card

Here is another card with the reindeer from the Reindeer Fun dies set. I love this die set. You get three dies to make the reindeer so that you can get the three colors like I have here. I used the die cut Christmas from the Peaceful Season dies and the merry came from the Merry tags and more die set that is a set of three dies that coordinate with the October, November an December Paper Pumpkin kits. The die that cuts out the circle with fir leaves is part of the Reindeer Fun die set. For the berries I used the Faceted gems trio pack and colored them with the dark Real Red Stampin' blend. I popped the entire card front including the reindeer. The card front was embossed with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder. I also embossed a circle die cut from the Deckled Circle dies and glued down that piece to the card front.

Supplies:

Stamps: Reindeer Fun and Peaceful Season

Ink: Garden Green

Stampin’ Blends: dark Real Red

Paper: Real Red, Garden Green and White cardstock

Accessories: Stamp, Cut and Emboss machine, Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder, Specialty plate, Deckled Circle dies, Reindeer Fun dies, Peaceful
Season dies, Merry tags and More dies, Take your pick tool, Take your pick die brush tip, Faceted gems trio pack, Foam Adhesive strips, Tombo liquid glue, Paper trimmer, Paper snips

Cutting instructions:

Real Red: card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, scraps to die cut the words Merry and Christmas and also the Holly berries.

White: cut two 4” x 5 ¼”  for the card front and inside panel, 4” x 4” for die cut circle

Garden Green: scrap for holly leaves

Early Espresso: scrap for antlers – cut two

Basic Beige: scrap for deer face – cut two

Pecan Pie: scrap for deer face – cut two

 Assembly instructions:

Cut and score Real Red card base.

Die cut two white panels. Die cut the circle with fir leaves from the Reindeer Fun die set about ¼” from the top. Die cut the deckle circle die from the 4”x 4” square using the largest die that will fit in the square. Emboss both the die cut card front and the deckle circle with the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder using only the bottom plate and the specialty place. Always put the embossing folder in the machine with the fold side going in first.

Die cut both the words Merry and Christmas with Real Red scraps, also die cut the holly berries in Real Red.  Die cut the Holly leaves with Garden Green scraps. Die cut two set of antlers with Early Espresso scrap, Die cut two deer faces with Basic Beige scraps. Cut two faces (the one with the eyes, ears and muzzle cut out) with Pecan Pie scraps. Glue the reindeer faces together and the holly berries to leaves. Color three gems with the dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend while still on backing sheet.

Glue deckle circle to card front approximately ¼” from top of card base sure that when embossed panel is added no red shows on the top or sides. Attach reindeer to embossed panel behind the leaves. Put a small dot of glue at the very bottom of reindeer to adhere. I then ran approx. 1 ½” piece of foam adhesive strip on the reindeer and down on card to add extra security. Add small pieces of Foam strip to both ears. Add Foam adhesive strips to the die cut embossed panel at the top, bottom, both sides and approximately 2 ½” under the die cut circle and reindeer. Add to card front.

Glue holly leaves to left bottom of circle making sure to leave room for the die cut words. Glue holly berries and words, I used Tombo liquid glue. Add a dot of tombo glue to each cardstock berry (for extra security) and attach the colored faceted gems.

Stamp sentiment on inside of card with Garden green ink and glue second reindeer to the bottom right side of white panel. Attach to the inside of card.

Stamp a reindeer from stamp set or emboss envelop flap with embossing folder.

Your card is finished and ready to send.
