Blessed Easter
This is the second project for this months stamp camp. This card was designed by my helper Kathy and myself. This is the first time I have used the Pewter embossing powder and I LOVE IT!. I have never like to use black on flowers. I like Basic Gray, but it is Pewter for now on. This is a fast and easy card. I love to watercolor. These turned out fabulously even using the Very Vanilla card stock instead of watercolor paper. When you are not using watercolor paper, the trick is to make sure your brush tip is not to wet. I think I would have like this a little better if I had stamped off before stamping the En Francais background. The second card uses a different background. and on the inside Kathy choose to stamp the flowers in soft suede, not embossed. Our color scheme came from the color in the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper pack.

Secret Garden Birthday and
Get Well Pop Up Boxes

This pop up card box is one of the projects for my March "Spring" Stamp Camp. My friend, Karla, and I had so much fun making these boxes. I think it would be great to take this little box bouquet to someone sick, home or in the hospital. No watering needed. These boxes also fold up and fit in a A2, invitation size envelope.  I choose the Secret Garden stamp set because we have Framelit dies to match. I went with the colors in the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper. I will add a post next week with the instructions to make the box.

Hexagon Hive, Petite Petals
and Perfect Pennants
This is my favorite of the three cards for this months Stamp Camp. I do not use Sahara Sand much, but it was the perfect color for this card. Once I got out my Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die and played with it, I realized it didn't cut out all the hexagons. So I went out to see what others were doing with this die. When I found a card that had polka dot DSP with the coordination card stock, I fell in love. I will get the link for this card and post it here tomorrow. After completing the front, I decided that I would use my cut out pieces on the inside of the card. I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Happy Watercolor, Off the Grid

I love stamp sets that have stamps that add interesting background stamps. Happy Watercolor not only has cool dots, splotches, but beautiful flowers. I want to do this card again using the Monster Maniacs instead of the flower, I think this background will go great with that set. I have it coming in soon, so watch for that post. I also learned that to get a really good two tone on the splotch the new ink pads work better. The grid and dots are stamped off first, so give a softer image. I stamped the flower in Gumball Green and Midnight Muse using the ink pads, stamping the flower twice. I gave the outside flower time to dry before I water colored it in using the Aqua painter. I ruffled the ribbon and attached it to sticky strip, then added Stampin' Dimensionals, double layered on the other side. On the inside of the card I chose not to stamp off with the grid stamp.
